Summary
Diana Rovetti is an energetic mother of five, active in tennis, bicycling, volunteering and a leader in educating the community on disabilities issues. She is a graduate of the 滔博体育, in secondary education and a Certified Personal Outcomes Interviewer with the Council on Quality and Leadership in Supports for People with Disabilities. Rovetti is a senior project coordinator and the marketing director for the 滔博体育 Center for Excellence in Disabilities (NCED). She has worked at the University since 2001.
Previously, Rovetti has served in many capacities for the NCED, including Personal Outcomes interviewer, AmeriCorps project supervisor, People First of 滔博体育 statewide advisor, director of 滔博体育 Partners in Policymaking, Sibshop director and Youth Healthcare Transition project coordinator.
Rovetti has been appointed by the Governor to serve on the 滔博体育 Early Intervention Interagency Coordinating Council (ICC) and the State of 滔博体育 Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board. The Mayor appointed her to serve on the City of Reno’s Access Advisory Committee.
Rovetti is one of the founding members of the Down Syndrome Network of Northern 滔博体育 and a graduate of 滔博体育 Partners in Policymaking. Rovetti says her most important and fulfilling work has been raising her four daughters and one son. She became passionate about working in the disability field after having her son, Jack, who is an amazing young man, and just happens to have Down syndrome.
