The Ìϲ©ÌåÓý recently commissioned four cadets as Second Lieutenants in the United States Army. Col. Daniel R. Waters, a University and ROTC graduate who is currently serving as the Commander of the 991st Troop Command, of the Ìϲ©ÌåÓý Army National Guard, was the guest speaker at the ceremony.
"I'm exceptionally proud of this group of Second Lieutenants," said Lt. Col. Michael Minaudo, chairperson of the University's Military Science Department. "They have demonstrated that they have superior potential and are ready to lead Soldiers to accomplish the mission."
Distinguished guest attending the ceremony included Brigadier Gen. William Burks, Adjutant General for the state of Ìϲ©ÌåÓý, Brigadier Gen. Michael Hanifan, Commander of the Ìϲ©ÌåÓý Army National Guard, and Congressman Mark Amodei.
